hey, i dont get a blank index page. but when i click the categories, they come up black./


how do i fix it ?

i got another problem now though.

it is saying "Script called without the required parameter(s)." when i try go into admin

we have a policy on this board of one question per thread, so I'd say your initial problem has been solved.
If you get Script called without the required parameter(s). you probably manually entered the url http://www.topgear.necronhosting.com/coppermine/admin.php into your browser's address bar - you mustn't do that. Log in as admin (using the login link on your coppermine page) and after successfully loging in, use the items from the admin menu.

cool, but the blank page still isnt fixed.

one of you from here uploaded a pic called "test" or something. when u click it, it comes up blank.

^^ go to the link, then click user galleries. then click test, and see if it comes up blank

OK Confirmed  - trying to go to a user category http://www.topgear.necronhosting.com/coppermine/index.php?cat=10002 gives a blank page when it should not - did you change any code?

nope, i havent touched it. the first time all i done was replace the image file at the top. but this is a new installation

This happens in all themes.

Try uploading a new copy of index.php

You can go to the downloads section, see link above, and the 1.2.1 download is still available.  You can download the complete application there.
I would suggest if you are doing that, you should actually download the latest version, 1.3.0, and doan upgrade (easy).

Just follow the upgrading instructions in the docs folder of the download.  As yours is a new site, this is the ideal time.

yeh i done that, now when i try get into a catagory it says..............

It looks to me you did not update all the files, as your page is showing tags that should not be there.
Did you replace all the files in the include folder, except the config.inc.php and lock file.

haha yeh shit, i forgot the include folder cause i left that till last. ill have another go

it fixed that problem, but i still get a blank page when i click the album.

I have a feeling this is to do with your 'contents of main page' setting in config.
This must include 'catlist/alblist' at least, and also 'breadcrumb' would help.

ps, you should also go to the cvs, and get an updated index.php file.

So you can click on any bit of the route you took to go back to it easily.  (from hansel and grettal, where they left a trail of breadcrumbs to find their way out of the woods)
