Some JPG Images Upload, why?

I was uploading Jpg's fine but i came to a error message, "Not a GD extension" but they are jpgs i have saved them again as a jpg and tryed but it keeps coming up with the same error. Why do some jpg images work and some dont, please help i got heaps more uploading to do!!!!! ???

Maybe your webhost has changed the server setup without notifying you - take a look at phpinfo (from the admin tools) and check for the GD modulae info - copy'n paste the whole section into your next posting here. Another option might be that it's actually another file (e.g. a gif or bmp) that has just been renamed to jpg.
Also make sure capitalization works OK, as jpg, JPG, jpeg and JPEG are 4 different extensions.
For details, a link and test user account (non-admin) with upload privileges might help as well.
