signin with safe code
« on: July 02, 2008, 11:19:03 am »

Hello I am new and so I do not know this is the right place to add it here.

Normaly with problems I search the forum but I do not know how you call my subject so don't know where to search.

By registering into this forum I also must add a code with letters or numbers, I guess for spam users.
Is this possible in my gallery.

Also another question, I am sure that it is not on the right place but then I had to open a new topic.
Question by moderating my theme the copyright is not at the footer anymore, it is not gone, but a bit higher.

Is this allowed??

What are you are loooking for is an "Image Verification" system, there is a plugin for that here - http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,36319.0.html.

The powered by text appears to there. Please note - The rule is 1 question per thread.

Thanks,

The word "captcha" is what you are looking for. It's an acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart". Not related to ecards nor emails - moving accordingly.

Yesterday I get a post in my forum about the Captcha in my photo album.

Quote
I have some problems with the captcha in firefox. It don't refresh so I always see the old captcha which is of course the wrong one to type. Meanwhile I can register in IE but it's a bit annoying. Maybe you can do something for it..?

I do not understand what they mean, something with Firefox I understand, but I cannot test that.
I use this plugin for Captcha: CAPTCHA v3.0.

Anybody know what they means and what to do?

Kind regards,

Your server is sending a "Cache-Control: max-age=600" header that is probably stopping the image from being reloaded. Either take it up with your host or modify the code to add a random string to the capcha.php url.

Perhaps it sound strange but I have realy no idea to add a code as random string.
The host I use is Lycos (paid) and I search a while for info about that cache but nothing found, buts thats perhaps I do not know where you are talking about.
Here (in PHP5) I find something about cache from lycos: http://www.lycos-oneclicksite.com/phpinfo.php5.

Perhaps someone could help me.

Kind regards
