users can't upload pictures anymore
« on: January 15, 2008, 09:29:14 pm »

Coppermine install: http://www.mmc.uk.com/gallery/
Forum install: http://www.mmc.uk.com/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.12
Forum version: SMF 1.1.4
Test user account: mmc / 170504sos

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.mmc.uk.com
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../
Use post-based groups?:  0
Cookie name/preifx (if applicable)

I have made changes to my membergroups in SMF and now my users can't upload pictures anymore. I have disabled the bridge and re-enabled it but it still does not work. The link at the top of the page has simply gone, though it still works fine for me as an admin and for global moderators.

I have given guests the ability to upload, so if my users log out of the forum they can upload but not when logged on, which is a pain since the gallery is normally accessed inside our portal.

Set upload permissions on the groups page.

public or personal gallery? Attach a screenshot of your groups control panel to your posting.

Can you enable debug mode or post the debug output when logged in as a user?

Try redoing the bridge and enabling 'post based groups'.
