can i *enhance* a bbcode link?

j/w...can i make a bbcode link have these attributes or similar ones?

onClick: javascript:open window('/download.dll/file=3098') (or something like that)

do you think its possible to put an 'onclick' option in bbcode? or can i use an 'a href' in the description of a thumb?
