Exif auto rotation problems
« on: December 17, 2006, 01:15:12 am »

Hello all,

This is my first post here. I'm running 1.4.10 hosted at godaddy.com. Everything works great except for one thing. Some of my images don't get proper roation when they are imported, even though their exif shows an orientation tag. This seems to only happen with my Nikon D50 portrait images. Other cameras (panasonic, canon) are ok. I don't do anything perticular treatment on my pictures when I 'batch-add' them. These are also straight out of the camera.

Here's an example: http://www.donaldpayeur.com/_main/_coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=54

uid: test
pw: exif

anything I could do to fix that in the future (apart from rotating them manually, in a somewhat lossy way) ?

thanks for your help
Donald

Coppermine doesn't take the rotation tag in EXIF meta data into account when uploading. Rotate on your client before uploading.
Asking for support on a sub-board that is named "General discussion (no support!)" is not a bright idea, moving accordingly.
