Uploaded pictures, poor thumbnails?
« on: July 01, 2006, 01:22:56 am »

Hi There :) This is the first time i have used Coppermine, and i have just started to add pictures to my gallery. However, now i have added them, i appear to have poor picture quality, and thumbnails like this:

(https://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg303.imageshack.us%2Fimg303%2F7199%2Fpoor7xr.th.jpg&hash=6a1bc4a661475ac5953055bf56eb7be15d674870)

Now i dont know exactly which Imagemagick to install or how to even use it, so i haven't installed it to my computer...is this the reason why i am experiencing these problems?

I have checked the other options and the picture quality is to 100 so it isnt that.

Please help Thanks
Chloe

- you don't need install I.M to your local computer it should be on your Server !
- there (config=>Files and thumbnails advanced settings) is also "Command line options for ImageMagick " you can set quality from command line , ak your host for configuration.
- if GD2 work for you and quality is 100 then use gd2 , there is no diffrence between I.M. and GD2
- please upgrade your gallery to most recent version (1.4.8), soon there will be no support for 13.x version
