Will your product work for me?
« on: January 25, 2004, 01:40:19 am »

I am currently running www.simplemachines.org message boards but I also want a car gallery for my site www.performance-shop.com

Is it possible for this photo gallery to work in the space I have provided on the main page of my site?  Would I be able to integrate it with my existing forum in the future?

Thanks,

Brad.

you posted in the wrong board - you'll need the standalone version (that features integration with various bbs systems, including YaBB SE). I'll move your posting accordingly.
Since SMF is very new (in fact, it's only out for charter members), there's no bridge file available yet, but I'm sure there will be one in the future.
To tell you more, post a link to your site.

I'd suggest you get coppermine standalone, set it up and (for now, disable user interaction (don't let them comment, vote of upload - even disallow registration within coppermine). This way, you won't have to worry about migration once a bridge file for smf comes out.
Then, I'd try (for a start) to use the bridge file that has been built for yabbse and toy with it - since smf is based on yabbse, the bridge file might work for it just as well (depends on the differences between yabbse and smf if this will work or not).
