pnCPG and PostNuke 0.760 (RC3)
« on: March 27, 2005, 07:44:56 pm »

First of all 0.760 is still a RC and one should not use this version in a production environment.
As it is currently, pnCPG will not function. The issue is around index.php of PostNuke itself.

There is a work around although I have not been able to fully test it.
Sofar on my test install I have not found anyy problems with it.

What to do :
1. Make a backup of Postnuke's index.php
2. Copy index.php from Postnuke 0.750 into the root of your Postnuke installation

pnCPG will work again as expected.

Hi Cas,

As you know, this has worked for me.

However, there have been some side affects related to this work around.

Because, both private messages and memberslist in postnuke have changed type (it's now api compliant), this means that by using the index.php file from postnuke 0.75 the postnuke private message in PNphpBB does not work and the Members List also does not work.  So far this is all I have found, so there mat be more.

For more infor visit http://noc.postnuke.com/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1788&group_id=5&atid=101

Is there an update to pnCPG to get over these problems, I read a user on this forum had 2.6, but can't seem to find that.

Regards

Thanks for documenting this I've installed PN .7.6 with CPG 1.3.3 via pnCPG2.5 on several instances now trying to figure out what was causing my problems.

I'm stumped by the same problem and I guess will use pnPHPBB's internal PMs now that I know hehe.  If there's a fix you want help testing just send me a msg I'm happy to help.
