ecard worked for a while - now it doesn't
« on: March 18, 2005, 10:14:40 pm »

Hello - I Love  your product!!

I sent myself a few test cards from my site: the first 5 came through fine. Later in the day, I tried again, only this time did not receive the cards.  Here is my album http://www.20roundmag.com/gallery

I checked with my host - and was assured I did not exceed my bandwidth.
Host company reports no server problems.
Since I already got a few cards successfully, I'm guessing it's not an SMTP issue.
It's not going into a spam folder, because I can recieve cards from this album http://www.fctc.ch/tutorial/cpg_album [/li]

I tried this the code below to see if I was getting mail - checks out OK

<?php
  mail("yourEmailAddress", "Test", "This is a test to check mail server");
?>

I'm out of ideas - If you can solve this problem, I will name all of my children after you.

Love & Gratitude, JL

PS - There was no error message /- bug report below.

I just sent a test ecard from your gallery and I got it.

Have you checked that your email account is not full? Have you tried sending to a different email account?

Yes - I checked both.  My email account is not full.  Also attempted to sent card to other accounts - no success.

Do you log ecard sending? Did you see if the ecards are being sent?

Hello - mystery solved!!

After spending 90 minutes on the phone with my host provider today, they did eventually realize there was a problem with my account.  Somehow, a number of sub-folders had gotten switched to a different server.  My host provider resolved the DNS issue, and I just sent several ecards successfuly.

Please accept my appologies for taking your time with this issue. Many thanks for a wonderful product and top notch support.

PS - other users who are having upload or ecard problems - make sure your web host has all your folders & subaccounts in the right place.
