Seems like you can't accept this: "Coppermine for CMS" (aka cpgNuke) and "Coppermine standalone" are totally different products, they only share a similar name, because they are based on an outdated standalone version of coppermine. Since the two projects forked, there have been so many changes that we (the supporters on the standalone board) simply don't know or understand the nuked coppermine - we don't use it, we don't look into it's code, we don't understand it. That's why we can't help you setting it up or help you troubleshoot. Those are facts, like it or not. If you bought a Mercedes-Benz and had troubles with it, you wouldn't complain at BMW, just because they happen to be german car manufacturers and the founders of both companies used to work together at the beginning of the 20th century, would you?
If you can't be a bit more patient to wait for the cpgNuke team to recover their site, and you can't accept what I just said above, then yes: I recommend you try using another gallery application. See how far you get somewhere else with this attitude; I think you're mixing things up a bit: all mentioned products (Coppermine Standalone, Coppermine for CMS and menalto gallery) are free, open source applications, where support is done by volunteers without getting paid. You have no right on support, it's being given because we care about people. You, on the other side, don't seem to care about people: posting flames is not a proper way to behave if you actually want help.
