« on: September 03, 2004, 12:03:15 pm »

hello,

I know its not possible to use my own thumbnails for the pictures that i am uploading via coppermine! however, is it possible to manually upload and override the thumbnails that coppermine creates via ftp?
thanks for your help,

If you're the admin, you should be adding all your pictures via FTP into a directory in /albums that you've created (like /uploads).  And if you add your images via FTP, you can create your own custom thumbnails and upload them at the same time.

Follow this naming scheme:

myimage.jpg
thumb_myimage.jpg

Upload them to /albums/uploads, then batch add.  Coppermine will see your thumbnails and use them instead of creating new ones.
