Installation Errors?

When I unpack everything seems to work perfectly.
All pages load correctly, and the index.php file gives a message about the fact that the installation.php has not runned yet.

BUT, when I actually complete installation.php (wich seems to run smooth)

index.php seems to crash.... when I open it in my browser I get a dialog about downloading the file, instead of a page.

Does anyone have an idea about what is happening here?
