The subject tells all... if this feature were to be implemented...in what ever piece of gallery software there is on the net today, you'd be hot stuff...the hottest!

The idea is simple, an option to create or alter a gallery/category where by you can set the maximum amount to pictures that can be held/uploaded to it... after the max limit is reached, the gallery/category recycles...and so it continues...

A pic last in, pushes the first one out so to speak, pix could either be deleted or moved to a recycling area.

Now you tell me this idea ain't gonna own.

I don't really get the point of this feature..  :?
Isn't the gallery supposed to be used to display pictures?
Why delete them afterwards?

I like the idea personally. It should not be enabled by default however. It would help with space issues, for those who needed it. Although there are other ways of doing this, i.e kepp an eye on things manually. Having an automated feature could prove a benifit for some... I would probably use it if it were there.

Yes of course, but think of the benefits for those with limit space and or bandwidth especially with high traffic galleries where theres alot of members uploading and downloading.

Instead of deleting them, pictures pushed off the end could be moved to another gallery or sorting area, then moved on manually from there.

I'm my case (and many others im sure) i have my user groups setup so that a newly registered member gets to see only a few pictures (and or gallery), i have heavy traffic and wouldn't want my bandwidth going through the roof, plus these members can upload to, if this feature were implemented i could sit back and not worry that new members aren't just gonna download all the pictures (could be 1000's by the time i get back) in one go...

It would be great if I could set a time limit for pictures in the gallery, so that I could have them automatically be deleted after 60 days or so.
