Hi guys, maybe I'm being dumb but I can't seem to move albums we created as admins into the user album where all the normal user albums go? 

For example, the default for people to upload into would be into user albums.  I am not sure if we can change that so it uploads into the album we made?

Hope someone can help...

you can not move albums from the public gallery to the user albums. It's a matter of taste however what you define as "default album" - doesn't necessarily have to be a user's agllery, can be one or more albums in public gallery as well.

Hi gaugau thanks for being so helpful as always.

sorry for being so silly but where do I define what the default album i want users to upload to?

in more detial, bascially the structure of the site is a bit like this

user albums (where registered user's created albums go by default when they create a new album)
private albums (where we have been uploading using batch upload, since we can't batch upload into user albums)

Basically we just want to combine the 2.... so either if we can get the users to have their albums created automatically into private albums instead of user albums, or that we can batch upload into user albums!
