Possibility to add a remote image file without uploading it.
« on: August 20, 2004, 04:00:17 pm »

Hi,
I have Coppermine installed on a web server with limited space and many image files on an other web server.
Is it possible to define the URI of the file, only the URI, so that coppermine only creates a thumbnail and an intermediate file? The access to the image file, in Coppermine knowledge base, would be given by an URI.

I have seen that it's possible to give an URI in the 'Upload An Image' form,  but the file is still uploaded. Which will soon be bad for my web space.

Thanks for your answers.

has been asked a million times before, searching the board would have helped. The answer is: no, this is not possible.
