How do I start using this for a family album?
« on: January 24, 2004, 12:41:30 am »

A friend of mine uses this for her online family photos. I'd like to do the same, but I do not know how to get started, or even where to begin. I have looked through the documentation link, but no luck. If you could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

I apologize if I sent this to the wrong forum.

Thank you!

Have you asked your friend to help? She can guide you to her hosting service and tell you if Coppermine has any quirks when installed on it, etc.

I would just tell her, "Hey, I love your photo gallery!  Can you show me how to get one of my own?"

If you download the latest version, open up the zip, then look in coppermine/docs/readme, there are full instructions of what to do.
Also read the faq in the same folder.

This was my first experience of anything like this, and it was surprisingl easy.  :D

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
