CPG menu -> Portal menu

Hi,
i want use CPG with e107-portal.

my idea was, to display the album-menu in my portal mainmenu.
do you have some tips, what i should change / hack^^

f.e. create new tamplate "menu" and include to portalmanu?

there's an e107 port for coppermine (although a user contribution that is somehow outdated and a bit buggy). The coppermine dev team doesn't know e107 and can't give hints regarding e107, sorry.
