Gallery (menalto) to Coppermine Script
« on: October 22, 2003, 03:55:28 am »

I have a lot of my pictures in the menalto.org gallery application.  Does anyone have a script to transfer my files/information to coppermine?

Thanks.

Well someone did send me a script which is supposed to do that - but the author is not ready to release it as yet due to the very basic nature of the code.  I havn't had time to look into it either...

In short - please hold on...

I would be very interested in this script too. Even if it's crude.

Doing it by hand just taks AGES, and it's stupid work.

I'm not smart enough to write my own script, but I can adjust someone else's.

My hosting company will stop supporting Gallery (menalto) as of next week (because of safmode and basedir difficulties).

So I need a solution pretty fast. Any chance we can mail the creator of this script?

It would also be very helpfull if anybody can give some usefull tips for doing it by hand.

Hi Tarique,

where are you going to release the new script for transfering menalto gallery to coppermine? Here at the coppermine website or is it integrated in the package?

I hope you can release it soon. Thousands of images are waiting to be transfered to coppermine, which is a sunshine

best regards

I am helping Cas Nuy who is the original author of the script.

Most likely the script will remain in the hack section for download.

If you are familiar with hand editing of PHP I can let you have the script for testing - it just about works in the sense it creates records in the CPG tables when called when viewing slideshow of a particular Album in Gallery. moving the actual files to the CPG directory etc is still far away...
