I did my search, found a few articles, but no answers..

when i go to upload a file with a .gif extension, it won't upload.   i get this message:

Have you read the documentation?

Have you searched for "gif upload" or "gif support"?  And scanned thru all of the results?

Have you looked here?

GD prior to 2.0.28 did not have GIF create support.  You can go to http://www.boutell.com/gd to read all about it.  In order to use GIF, you have to use ImageMagick or apply my GIF support mod.
