Problem adding large pictures
« on: July 27, 2004, 07:48:06 am »

Adding smaller pictures is fine ... but I seem to encounter problems adding pictures with large dimensions.  I tried adding for example a picture that is 1300x2000 but is only 240kB in size. It doesn't even show the little thumbnail preview ... just an X. Is there a remedy to this?

read the sticky threads (the ones with pin icons) on this board, this has been asked (and answered) very often. There is an individual limit on each webserver (individual meaning it differs from server to server, depending on the server config) on how big files it can handle. Resizing the pics before upload to some sensible size is recommended.

Changing those individual limits seem to work when you are using GD ... but doesn't work if you are using ImageMagick.
