Album Properties
« on: July 20, 2004, 04:34:26 pm »

First of all, please don't laugh too much about what I did in my albums settings. Sorry for my poor english, but it's not my native language.
So I created few albums and I wanted to let them viewed only for registered group. I clicked on Album Properties and I set each album :
Quote
Album can be viewed by    Members of the 'Registered' group
Visitors can upload pictures    No
Visitors can post comments    No
Visitors can rate pictures        No
I updated the Albums Properties and I found in a flash that I can't see more the Properties or Edit buttons of these Albums. I made a new user and I found it can't see these buttons or upload new pictures in these albums. As admin, I can upload pictures in any album, but the album doesn't show me any picture when I click on it.
What is the solution to save the hard work? I uploaded more than 300 pictures and I don't want to reinstall the Album.

OK I do not see these options when I go into Albums under Admin mode....  Do I have something configured wrong?

Your album properties show fine, I logged in with the account you posted, created an album, uploaded a pic to it and - believe it or not - the properties button shows up next to the album thumbnail as expected. If you're not happy with this answer, post more details.

Yes, turn on "Users can have private albums" in coppermine config. For details, read the documentation that comes with coppermine.

You did there a private album for an User, that works well.
So when I log in the website as Admin then I can't see the albums from the first page, only if I click on the links(http://www.prettyzany.net/z/vechi/1.jpg) and then I can't see the buttons Delete Properties and Edit Pictures of each album (http://www.prettyzany.net/z/vechi/1.jpg) Also I get this message " The selected album/picture does not exist ! " when I click on any album picture

you'll have to navigate to the category the album is in to see the "properties" button, as it is next to the "album thumbnail", not next to some thumbnail that turns up on your start page.

Sorry, I deleted the album and reinstalled 1.31 version. I had 1.3 version before. It looks great! I didn't do same mistakes with the album settings again. But now I see something strange when I upload an image, I got this message :

you're running on "castrated" web space, your webhost has disabled some php functions for security reasons.
This has been asked before - since this new problem is not related to your original issue, it shouldn't have gone into this thread (we have a "one question per thread" policy on this board. Please search the forum.
