Coppermine 1.6.25 (stable) Acting Up - Batch Add / Is there an upgrade?

The past few days, I have noticed that my coppermine installation (1.6.25) has been acting up - mainly when making new albums & uploading photos (batch-add). I haven't had any issues until Dec. 22, 2023 

* Preview thumbnail not showing in batch add
* *Browsable interface empty when click "... up one level"
* *(New) Album stuck on loading (after clicking "ok")
* *Slow/stuck loading between "List of new files" page and "Edit Files" page(s)
* = Issue is usually fixed by exiting/refreshing page, but this becomes tedious and you lose your place/work.

Some behaviors confirmed on my host with PHP 8.0.30 enabled. (released  December 7 )

PHP 8.1.26 appears to work without issue. (released on the same date)

Use your cPanel, if available, to change the version of PHP running your Coppermine 1.6.25.

Note that some of the items on the list were not verified.
