How to call other .php files into template.html

I'm trying to add this:


--- Quote ---<?php  include "./welcome.php";?>
--- End quote ---


into template.html but it won't display. I need to be able to include/import php files in the template to save myself each time I change the theme colors/layout.

Please advise.

You can not run PHP code from an .html file.
