Login not working on local copy of CPG
« on: December 15, 2022, 08:03:58 pm »

Hi,

A recent PHP upgrade has cut access to my gallery on my website. I've since downloaded the gallery as an offline copy (both files and tables) and am attempting to do the necessary recovery steps offline on a local XAMPP install - that way I can easily control PHP and MySQL versions as needed.

My plan is to log in as admin, turn off plugins, then upgrade to 1.6.x from there. However, the local copy accepts my username and password, but doesn't actually log me in. Does anyone know why? Maybe a config I have to clear out from the tables?

Update on this:

I was able to fix it by updating the local copy to 1.5.48, as the developers have suggested. I can now log in, and stay logged into the local site.
