User randomly logged out after some uploads
« on: March 08, 2020, 03:40:38 pm »

For a long time I've had this problem where a user is uploading photos, but when they're redirected to the editpics.php page, all of a sudden they're logged out. Nothing in the logs to indicate a problem, only a note saying "Denied privileged access to editpics.php by user Guest at IP 192.168.1.1" (hosted on a local computer). This has persisted througout several different versions of CPG.

Any ideas?

Could you clarify ... it only does this from time to time but not consistently?

Not always, which confuses me. There seems to be no order to it.

I assume this is in regard to pressphotos. I believe your config site URL is prefaced with www. If someone accesses the site without the www, logs in and uploads images, the redirect will go to www...., where their login cookie won't be available. Hence they are seen as a guest without privileges.

P.S.: I noticed from past posts that you were looking for something to hide access to your images. You could try this.
