Cache plugin for large galleries
« on: February 22, 2020, 01:27:45 am »

I run several large galleries and due to them having thousands of photos my databases seem to load the site slowly.

I imagine if some plugin could generate cache'd pages for the main gallery page and maybe the albums then it would help greatly with the loading speeds of my galleries.

Anyone know how to make such a plugin?

PS- I wanted to post this in General Discussion but it seems I am unable to make topics there...

With the current design of the CPG software, I don't believe it would be possible for a plugin to effectively provide page caching.  It may, however, be possible with a custom theme. No guarantees ... but, if I can find time, I may look into the possibility.

I may have proven myself wrong ;)

You might also find the Lazy Load Plugin useful to improve the load time of your pages.
