I tried to upgrade from 1.4.27 to 1.6.06.

I got to the step to run update.php.

I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function numRows() on boolean in...g/bridge/udb_base.inc.php on line 356

I really don't know how to troubleshoot this problem. Can you help me?

thanks

steve

You should restore your gallery from a backup. Then upgrade from 1.4.27 to 1.5.48 first. Then you can upgrade from 1.5.48 to 1.6.06.

thank for the reply.

I really screwed this up.I backed up the files, which I have restored. But that didn't fix it, now I just get "fatal error". I should have done a database backup.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again. I copied the 1.5.48 files to the website, ran the update.php and got the same error.

Fatal error: Call to a member function numRows() on boolean in /hermes/bosnaweb25a/b883/glo.mpullen2/photos.cchca.org/bridge/udb_base.inc.php on line 356

thought i would at least get a different error...

anyway, maybe i can get the hosting service to restore the database (in my case cchca.cpg), copy back the 1.4.27 files, and hopefully it will work.
