So I had to do the manual install of CPG1.6.05 and it went very well. I only had to change one thing in my theme to make it work but I got it which you can find here: http://mike-colter.com/gallery. It is running the stable version under PHPversion 7.3. Nothing is wrong at all with the exception of the plugin I used to use More Meta Albums. I loved that plugin and am wondering if there is an upgraded version or a newer version under a different name.
