Video needing Pluglin to work?
« on: May 10, 2016, 03:50:48 pm »

Hi,

I've been searching the board for over an hour for this issue with no luck.
I apologize in advance if this is answered somewhere.

When uploading a video, (.avi) & after creating the thumbnail for it, I used batch upload & it was added to the gallery. However when trying to view it it says 'A plugin is needed', I've tried every plugin I've come across & nothing seems to work.

I've tried the following:
Windows Media Player (windows_media_player): v1.1
Fix media HTML (fixplayers): v1.0

And the Flash Media Player which won't even load into my plugin directory.

Screen cap is attached & this is the gallery: http://olsensobsessive.com/video

Works as expected for me (see attached screenshot). It's your browser which needs a plugin to display that video. I recommend to convert your video files to a format which can be played either via Flash or even better HTML5. The mp4 container fits both requirements. For more information, see http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp
