After upload, adding title, description, etc.
« on: June 28, 2015, 12:23:05 am »

Hey all:

I have read the FAQ's, and done a search on the forums and can't find an answer to this one. I have CPG set up to allow Anonymous users to upload files to all albums. However, unless I am logged in as a registered user / admin, when clicking continue, I don't get the screen to be able to add a title, description, etc.

Is this a function of CPG that is not allowed for anonymous users, or have I just simply overlooked a small tickbox!?

I uploaded an image in album A Pirates Life for Us (Ocean Shores) - January 17th and it works just fine.
See attachment Edit files.jpg.
I deleted the image.

If you allow guests to upload files to your gallery, they won't be able to add file details. This feature has been disabled as it's not possible to identify the user without fail (see thread). Additionally it may attract spammers to add textual content to your gallery. If you want to enable that feature anyway, find Coppermine's configuration table in the database and change the value of allow_guests_enter_file_details to '1'.

You can also use this plugin to change the config value: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,77314.0.html
