Rotate Not Working on Uploaded Images
« on: December 13, 2014, 11:39:06 pm »

I run my own dedicated server using linux centos 6.6 with 12 cores and 32 gb ram.

I’m using the latest version of Coppermine and the GD version 2.x utility to resize images. I’ve uploaded hundreds of photos in a jpeg format (size = 5184x3456) via the batch add feature. A few of the pictures need to be rotated. When I edit the image a new window opens up and I can see the original photo (so large that it covers my entire screen). I then select -90 degree rotation and click “save”. But all I see is a blank white page. Nothing else happens.

Due to the size of my file, Could this be a timeout issue? Or a memory issue? Is there some setting somewhere that needs to be adjusted? Also, should I be using ImageMagick instead of GD Version 2.x?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You would need to look at the server logs to really determine what the actual error is. Without that it really is impossible to know what is going on. In all likelihood it is a server resource issue but the logs should help.

It may also be worth checking this plugin out - http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,77816.0.html
