idea: automatic registering for a special usergroup
« on: July 08, 2004, 08:37:49 pm »

ok, whats status quo.
1) registering
2) getting valiadting email with link
3) become a registered user

I would like to have an automatism with email-answer
the registered user knows a user-group-password.

he / she ist able to enter this password in a new field in the user-profile
if cpg is finding this password in one or more user-groups it will add this registered user to the closed-usergroups
the user gets an email with text "you are vaildated for group xyz.."

would be great enhancement

there are no plans to incorporate this feature into the next release. You're welcome to post a hack.
