any idea to this thread ?

the main idea is.. an album which is tied to a usergroup is not visible for others..
a category is allways visible..

making it specific to a group we may have unvisible categories only for all

we're currently considering to get rid of categories all together - instead, albums should be able to hold both pics and sub-albums. This way, we'd have the most flexible approach. There isn't one single line of code yet though, this is still being considered for future versions though. Please understand that the "feature requests" board is what the name suggests: you suggest a feature - if someone finds it usefull, it will be done (either as a mod or as a feature of a future version). Usually there's little feedback on this sub-board.

Yes, I would very much like to see the capability for nested albums.  Or the capability for users to create their own categories (i.e., as subcategories of "User galleries").
