customise theme without ftp
« on: May 29, 2014, 01:54:28 am »

hello!

i was given my url for my coppermine, via my host site..because i didn't know how to use ftp to upload the files to create one..but i can't customise my theme because the html isn't available for editing...is there a way i can do this without trying to go the long way around the uploading the files onto my ftp?

i only ask because the last time i tried to change the files, my copper mine wouldn't allow me to log in

thanks

Not really any easy way to edit files except via ftp, unless you host provides some tool in cpanel.

You need to learn to use an FTP application (e.g. FileZilla) to maintain your website anyway. If you don't delete, rename or move Coppermine core files there's no reason to brake anything than your theme, while updating your theme.

Made this a while back: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,75538.0.html
haven't updated it or even tested it in a long time so use with caution, also you should learn to use an FTP application.
