If I looked well at the statistisc I use around 350GB traffic a month and 12GB files.
It can not be too much.
I really want your opinion.
Is my host really unreasonable?
From a traffic and size perspective, you are certainly within limits...
I asked my ISP to look at the stats you posted.
They said you have a 'very popular site' but if optimized should run fine.
They do offer a 30 day guarantee (as do I) - to give it a try.
Server load (CPU / MySQL resources) are something every shared host provider watches... I have never even come close to hitting their limits. Don't know if you can see those stats on your server.
On mine, cPanel has a 'Resources' icon, and within that a 'CPU/MySQL Usage' tab..
The daily CPU time limit is 100 minutes... The daily MySQL time limit is 20 minutes...
Can you view this data for your current host? (I see almost a 60 day view of usage.)
If you fit within these limits, I see no issue with ICD Soft shared hosting...
Above those limits will likely be an issue for many shared hosts - and they would recommend 'managed VPS' or other types of dedicated services... The price takes a significant step at that point... Again I can offer a significant discount - but looking at $200/month at that point... (ICD Soft direct is $299 for month 1; $239 additional months)
That is a huge difference - so hopefully we can make shared hosting work...
As for answers to questions... I have never had a response time issue... Even when they need to check server logs, etc... Still get a quick response letting me know... And still never had anything go past 30 min...
In 10 plus years, one unplanned outage - a major data center network outage in the Savvis facility several years ago... (affected many others besides ICD Soft) Their support site is hosted elsewhere so even then it was still available to answer.
