Moved my gallery and can't log in
« on: March 08, 2014, 06:39:34 pm »

Hi, I recently moved my gallery from one URL to another and things looked fine on the front end, but I can't seem to log into the gallery, even after setting my password in myPHPadmin. I tried to do lost password, but it's still showing the old URL in the reset link.

I moved the gallery by bringing all the albums over, then someone at HostGator walked me through exporting and importing my tables so I could keep all the views. I just need to figure out why I can't seem to log in and how to fix it.

Take a read of the docs, that should point you in the right direction, especially this section, http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/export.htm#moving_server

I've read that and tried basically everything in it. I still get "Login failed. Please try again."

I was able to use adminpass.php to log in and change the URL, so now it's working.

Alternatively you can also change the URL with phpMyAdmin.
