How to have the user name of who posted, shown with each picture?

I saw the mod included with v1.2.1's FAQ, but couldn't locate some of the code supposed to be found in implementing it... Please assist, we would benefit greatly from having this feature included in our photo gallery.

The really easy way is to upgrade to 1.3.
