Description does not accept every word
« on: November 28, 2013, 11:49:48 am »

Something strange happend: I uploaded photos with the german word "Offizierscasino" in the IPTC-description. Upload was successful - and the descriptions of the photos were also online.
But I use mutated vowels like "ä" oder "ö" in some descriptions. These word can not be found with the search function, unless you press the button "Save changes" after uploading. This trick helps to integrate the mutated vowels in the database and that they can be found with the search-function. But in this case this trick did not work. Instead was displayed "403 Forbidden! You don't have permission to access /coppermine/editpics.php on this server."
But after I changed the "c" in "casino" in "k" - therefore "Offizierskasino", the description was accepted and you can now search the word with mutated vowels. Can anyone tell me if there are "no"-words - words you may not use in the description - or why this happens?
Thank you very much.
FYI: I use CM 1.5.24

There are no restrictions. I assume something else is wrong with your IPTC data. Please change "Offizierskasino" back to "Offizierscasino" (please don't use an "old" copy) and try again.
