Multi uploader using ajax rather than Java
« on: September 22, 2013, 09:14:55 pm »

Hi guys

I am new to coppermine but i really love the software. my only issue is the environment that i am going to be using it in doesn't allow java and for the users that will be uploading to the site cant sit and upload 10000 pictures individually.

so my request is a plugin that uses ajax rather than java or flash. if it is possible i would be eternally grateful.

i am using the latest software.

currently my site is still under development so cant link to it.

Many thanks

Currently there is the FLash uploader and the basic file at a time uploader for the front end and the bulk ftp uploader for admin users. In addition we have a couple of plugins such as the HTML uploader - http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,75927.0.html and jUpload - http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/board,100.0.html

Hopefully one of all those will fit your needs. As far as I am aware there are no Ajax uploaders in the planning. I think HTML5 is the way to go for the future.

If you have FTP access you have 2 possibilities:
1. Use the built-in batch-add feature
2. Use the MassImport plugin

However, as this doesn't seem to be a valid feature request thread, it should be moved to the support forum.
