Does anyone have a CSS reference that says this reference will change that color on Coppermine? I hope that makes sense.

Yes, it's the 'styleguide' theme, that comes with the 1.3.0 download, or vieable from the demo.
You click on the css item, and it shows you what it controls.

Also if you use Mozilla OR Firefox - install the Web Developer tool bar from http://www.chrispederick.com/work/firefox/webdeveloper/ and enjoy :)
