Missing photos log file
« on: June 18, 2013, 12:40:26 am »

May 07, 2013 at 05:03 AM - File albums/userpics/10008/normal_4.jpg is missing.

Each time I view this log file now, its very big, with lots of lines simular to the above

June 07, 2013 at 05:03 AM - File albums/userpics/Oldphotos/normal_4.jpg is missing.

Didnt happen until the last upgrade...

If the photo does not exist, how would it log an attempt to view it?

All photos in the album can be seen just fine

One other thing, the list has dates, starts April,May,June then changes to Chinese or Japanese, then back again to English (Month only)

Ok, anything I click is shown.. So the error is coming from a visitor

六月 17, 2013 at 10:55 PM - File albums/userpics/10005/normal_Skye_15.jpg is missing.

Just FTP to that location
albums/userpics/10006

found
orig_Skye_15.jpg
Skye_15.jpg
thumb_Skye_15.jpg

No
normal_Skye_15.jpg

And dont know whats calling that photo, if there was an intermediate before, its switched off now. Click a thumbnail and it shows full size photo

Go directly from thumbnail to full-sized image  NOT SELECTED

Just switched that on to see what happens, a popup window shows the photo, so switched it off again. Now shows full size photo direct from thum in main window.. As I like it.

Wasnt this an old function? thumb > intermediate > full

However, what is loading photos that dont exist? old search engine cache? album has been running for a very long time. Sure the normal photo is old name

If I remember correctly there was already a thread with exactly the same question. I currently cannot remember if it was a bug that has been fixed in the meantime or what was the result of that thread. With the provided information it's not possible to tell who tries to access that files. It's probably a web crawler, maybe those files are embedded on other websites. In both cases, we cannot fix it as it's no Coppermine issue. But if you find out that a user on your website, who just view pictures regularly and doesn't try to guess image paths, causes that log messages, we can have a closer look at your issue. Maybe you find some useful information at the other thread (please use the search feature of our board).
