Current video versions works ok for me on: Opera, Chrome, FireFox, IE8 and Safari on XP

Were you going to the original link or the files in the "test" gallery. Those are the ones causing the problems.

So this issue is maybe related to the used Flash version? Please always check if the flash player has been used, as the HTML5 player seems to work as expected, where supported.

I wonder why it worked for Veronica. Veronica, can you please check if the flash player or the HTML5 player has been used on each browser? Thanks!

I use the JW Player version 6.1.2972 in all browsers

The only problem I see are short lags sometime ie remote bandwidth or server load issue
when I get the circle in the middle of the video frame

Sorry I missed that album
Those 3 test videos don't load for me when using JW Player 6
only sound after a long time downloading the entire source

Thanks, that equals my test results. I assume Phill finds out more while re-encoding the video.

The supported HTML5 video formats don't matter in our case, as the flash player is used and this doesn't work as expected. Of course it would be great if all browsers would support all those file types, but that's nothing we can fix.

There is a jwplayer.html5.js file in the JW Player 6 download now you are only loading the standard jwplayer.js javascript

Exactly as described in the JW Player docs:
It is also not needed anymore to specifically point to the location of jwplayer.flash.swf. Instead, JW6 presumes the file (and jwplayer.html5.js) is in the same location as the main jwplayer.js library.

I downloaded the videos for looking at the codecs used and it's MPEG-4 Visual
to my knowledge the only allowed Flash Player codec for H.264 is MPEG4 AVC
which I use in my mp4 files

It worked for me on my work laptop yesterday but today at home it does not (fine on ios though). I am experimenting with different encoding methods as we speak. What software are you using to convert the videos?
I'm using these guys, it's a bundled software studio. MP4 converter and FLV converter.

But obviously their software doesn't produce working video files.... ;)

Yep, that certainly does appear to be the problem. I have tested using that, Quicktime Pro and Sothink so I suggest Mr Reaper takes his scythe to Free Studio 5 and changes to a better converter.

So it works with files which have been converted with other tools? I rarely convert video files, mostly I let YouTube do that work :P But if I convert, I usually use Handbrake (after all other tested free tools seems to be more bloatware than what I searched for). It also seems to be the recommended tool of the JW Player team.

It's probably nothing wrong with the Free Studio 5 converters except that they don't have a H.264 converter
which is required for playing video in the Adobe Flash Player with the JW or any other video player

Works fine for the FLV's I was using before xD

All the JW site says is mp4 with aac audio. which is what my files are >.<

Anyway, I'll do some encodes with handbrake and try with those. Will let you know.
I'm suprised how active this thread got in relation the the other threads in this forum. Thanks for the help guys and girl (guessing veronica is a girl/woman)!

Supported codecs | Flash Player:   http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/kb/supported-codecs-flash-player.html

Further reading about H.264/MPEG-4 AVC:   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC
Quote
H.264 is perhaps best known as being one of the codec standards for Blu-ray Discs; all Blu-ray Disc players must be able to decode H.264.
It is also widely used by streaming internet sources, such as videos from Vimeo, YouTube, and the iTunes Store,
web software such as the Adobe Flash Player and Microsoft Silverlight, and also various HDTV broadcasts over terrestrial
(ATSC, ISDB-T, DVB-T or DVB-T2), cable (DVB-C) and satellite (DVB-S and DVB-S2).

I downloaded the videos for looking at the codecs used and it's MPEG-4 Visual
to my knowledge the only allowed Flash Player codec for H.264 is MPEG4 AVC
which I use in my mp4 files

Your flv files were coded with the AVC codec and named as  .flv
Your mp4 files were coded with MPEG-4 Visual codec and named as  .mp4
Correct mp4 files should be coded with MPEG4 AVC codec and named as  .mp4
