Upload approval
« on: October 05, 2012, 05:15:45 pm »

This is driving me nuts  :o I have just had a new user register and she wanted to upload her pics to my site which is fine so I put her in the uploaders group as I normally do.  Now here comes the problem ...  none of the pics she has uploaded have needed approval! I have not changed a thing on the site at all!  I have checked the permissions, updated the database, checked versions and made sure she is just in the uploaders group and not an administrator.  All is ok.

One other thing she has just uploaded 3 new pics and one of them is not showing up BUT it is only me not seeing it!  I can download it from the ftp and can see it no problems.  Not sure if this problem is connected but seems strange that it is the same user.

I have no idea what to do next with the permissions and the pic not showing up only for me has me totally stumped  :o

Compare her user information to a known good user in the database.
If you can't find any differences then turn on debug mode for everyone and create a test user in the uploader group.

Already checked the first thing but will try the debug mode... one thing I hadn't tried  :-[ and use a test user and see what happens..

Thank you!

Ok I suffer with ME so sometimes I get brain fog so it appears that I had registered users able to upload without approval...I think because I had a seperate one for uploaders didn't think doh!  And I had the new user in the registered and uploaders groups... :-[

Ok I will go and crawl back under a rock and try and work out why I am the only one who can't see a pic on there as well   :o that one is really getting me stumped...do you want me to start a new thread if I can't work that one out?

Thanks for all your help
