Suitable for portfolio?
« on: June 24, 2012, 07:53:37 pm »

We have an existing, though badly neglected, website of air race photos.  While trying to update the site, I'd like to use Coppermine to give me a new format and hopefully an easier way to add each new years photos.

Currently, the photos are organized by year with each year having up to 6 categories like Unlimited, Sport, etc.

Is Coppermine a good application for displaying out photos in this sort of hierarchy?

I have ver 1.4.25 installed...

There's no support for cpg1.4.x since a lot of months. Instead, you should use the latest version of cpg1.5.x (currently cpg1.5.20). However, there are no limits regarding nested categories in Coppermine, i.e. you can use it for your purpose.

Thanks.  I now have that one setup with lots of photos but until it's completely up to date, I'm not making it my default site.
