Hi,

Just upgraded to the 1.5.20 release of cpg. Everything went smooth so far.

Now i tried to view an image (while not being logged on) and it says that i must login to view this page. I tried to apply the solution found here: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,74550.0.html but no luck.

When i go to the groups manager i can only update one group of the three i see. For example, if i assign the right to view thumbnails, full size and intermediate images it removes all view rights from the other two groups. I looks completely different from the screenshot which can be found within the help files.

Screenshot: http://www.wetterfoto.ch/groupsmanager.png

What is going wrong here and how can i fix it?

Thank you

Please, in the future attach your images - do not hotlink them.

Something looks to be wrong with groupmgr.php output.

Have you run update.php? And versioncheck.php?

If that does not fix the problem, turn on Debug in config
(please don't post the output)
and return here to post a link to your Coppermine.

Hi,

Sorry, didn't noted that i can put attachments directly here, therefore i linked it from my domain.

Yes, i ran update.php directly after i put everything to the server and also did the versioncheck.php. I had to remove some old files. If i run versioncheck.php now it says that there are no problems.

I turned on the Debugmode.

My CPG is located at http://www.wetterfoto.ch

Thanks

Hi,

This is the setting i currently have. If i try to change it, it doesn't save the new setting. It just jumps back to the old one.

Something wrong with the database?

Probably. Does changing other config values work as expected?

Hi,

Yes, so far the other settings are working fine. After upgrading i changed the skin and added a custom header. Both actions worked like a charm.

Possibly something wrong caused by bridging? I disabled the bridge but i have to see all possibilites.

I noted that the permissions values are set within the database (also for the other user groups) but not displayed within the GUI.

You'll either have to enable Use bridge app custom groups or probably adjust the guest group ID in the bridge file (example).

If i understod this properly that's what i have to do when i enable bridging again, right? But currently i'm not in bridged mode.

Do i have to define a group which includes everyone to have public albums?

I just recognized in your screenshot that all radio buttons for the registered and admin groups are empty. Please try to set correct values for all groups and test again.

Hi,

That's what i try to explain, but maybe i used the wrong words.

In my screenshot, all permissions are set for the guest. If i begin to set the permissions for another group, all permissions of the guest group are going away (means the selectors just move to the next group). I could see within the help file how it should look, but the behavior of my CPG is different from that and doesn't allow to set the same settings.

If i could explain it better (with more screenshots) just let me know.

Seems i can't edit, therefore i add the attachment here.

I tried to set the permissions for the Administrators group. Now the rights for the guests are disappeared.

Please check the values in the usergroups table in your database. Do they appear there as you've set them, or are they also empty / invalid?

I'd like to have a look as admin at your gallery and also access to your database (e.g. via phpMyAdmin) would be helpful. Just let me know and I'll send you a PM with my contact details.

Yes the values are in the table and are how they should be.

I think I fixed the issue. The group_id field in your database's usergroups table was named Group_id. I changed it to lowercase and now everything seems to work as expected. Please confirm and mark your thread as solved, if the issue is fixed.
