Crop/Resizing and Thumb Sharpening.
« on: May 31, 2012, 04:05:40 am »

Hi,

I have my thumbs set to Exact 75x65 so when a picture is more tall than it is wide the subject face is lost, so I edit the picture by cropping it but the sharpness is lost and the dimensions don't seem to be exact (see attachment)

Is there something I'm not doing right or something I can do to fix it?

Thank you.

Please describe more detailed what exactly you have done (i.e. which buttons you used).

I click on "Crop and Rotate". And the since I make a square of what I feel more or less is like the 75x65 since it doesn't have the option to be exact and I click on "Save as thumbnail".

Since I cannot make the square exact the dimmensions of the thumb are off and the sharpness is lost.

After further research, it seems it's not possible to do this the way I could with the stramm mod. And since I'm not good with programming I guess I'll just leave it as it is.

I don't know what's possible with Stramm's modpack. Can you please attach a picture of the modpack's interface? I just tested the thumbnail cropping and also noticed that Coppermine saves the thumbnail exactly as selected, which is probably not what the user needs.
