Registration issue
« on: November 24, 2011, 02:03:22 pm »

Hi,

I have v1.5.16 installed on my server, everything seemed to working fine until I decided to try and register a new user.  The registration works fine until the submit button is pressed at which point I am receiving a 403 forbidden error.  This is happening from both the user registration and admins' register new user options.  Could anyone please assist with this.

url to site is http://www.hittherock.com

Thanks,

I just registered a new user and got the message, that I received an email (which I won't receive, as I just inserted an invented email address). So I guess it works as expected, or at which step does the error message occur?

Hi Andre,

Thanks for having a look at that. I believe I have located the issue. It seems that if you complete the additional information when signing up (location, website etc) it causes the 403 forbidden error. Might have a look at removing those options from the register page.

I just saw that, I removed the extra fields just to be on the safe side!
