Is there any way to remove this section?

Is there any way to remove the part outlined in red?  Thank you for your help.  I'm learning as I go along but this one is way beyond me.

Remove catlist from The content of the main page.

For some reason when I remove "catlist" I also loose my albums on the front page.  It presently reads:  iscroll/breadcrumb/alblist/toprated,2/topn,2
I'm using the theme "acidtech" but I've tried others and the effect seems to be the same.

I assume your albums are located in the "All categories" category. If so, you have to move them to the root category. Please post a link to your gallery if you need further support.
