However, I have downloaded the latest stable release and I am getting a similar message:
"128 files in 0 albums with 110 comments viewed 8658 times"

when there are 11 albums.

I have just upgraded from v1.0 to v1.3

Did you download from CVS? As far as I know, this has been fixed.

I downloaded from the standard download link:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89658

and used the Australian mirror (two days ago)

Is there a quick fix? surely it's just the SQL query, but I am not familiar with the tables or their structure so don't wanna go fiddling.

Indeed. Please download the full package in the stable branch of CVS. This has been fixed.

Thanks Omni, but that's not what I wanted to know.

If others are having this problem, then it has been fixed by changes made to index.php.

You can see the differences here, where revision 1.43 has been updated.

However, you might as well get the code from rev1.45 here and replace your index.php file with it.
